CANE WEAVERS ART AND CRAFT EXHIBITION

Several months back, on this blog, I posted an article on this blog about Mende Cane Village. I talked about SIFE(ENACTUS)UNILAGS‘s commitment to this talented craftsmen who practise their vocation under the bridge at Mende. SIFE UNILAG has listed as one of its project, the transformation of Mende Cane Village into an Industry. This would in turn lead to job opportunities, a boost in tourism for Lagos and proper waste management. But to do this, SIFEUNILAG would need all the help it can get.
So,SIFEUNILAG decided to organise a tradefair at Mende for the exhibition of the beautiful crafts of these people. Fortunately, the Rotary Club of Maryland has similar ideas. SIFEUNILAG hopes that this exhibition which would be the first of its kind becomes a yearly event.
I have stated briefly information on the upcoming tradefair,below:
